To reach Tsugaike Nature Park in Chubu-Sangaku National Park, you will take a 4,120-meter-long gondola and ropeway, the second longest in Japan. The park is surrounded by four of Japan's most famous high-altitude wetlands, which were formed over hundreds of thousands of years ago, and are well-maintained with wooden paths, making it easy to walk around. Ticket includes gondola + ropeway (round-trip ticket) + Nature Park entrance ticket Tsugaike National Park, part of the Chubu-Sangaku National Park, is located at the end of a 5,320-meter aerial walk via gondola and ropeway, one of the most famous wetlands located at high altitude in Japan. In the park, visitors can see approximately 370 species of rare alpine plants and magnificent views of each season. On a clear day, the view of the Northern Alps and the Hakuba Sanzan (three peaks of Hakuba) can be seen. In early June, large colonies of Mizubashou, Shirane-aoi, and Sankayou can be seen. Takanezakura cherry trees, cherry trees which bloom at the highest altitude, can also be seen. From July to August, a wide variety of alpine plants bloom, and in autumn, the ropeway passes over a carpet of autumn leaves, and the vivid colors of the leaves in the park will take your breath away. Even after the leaves fall, the trunks of the downy birch trees continue to weave their way into a white, curving, magical landscape.
